This blend of Hunter Valley and McLaren Vale Shiraz exemplifies the elegance that was once highly prized for its vibrant fruit expression, juicy acidity and seemingly infinite ability to age. A case in point, dark fruits with layers of complexing Christmas cake all wrapping up in a cape of gentle acidity and silky tannins giving warmth and freshness at the same time. Good now but worth wanting a few years if you can. This is proper old school Shiraz, before the days of too much oak and over ripeness, when fruit and finesse were the order of the day.
